What You’ll Do

We’re looking for students who are excited to learn and work in the Alberta Public Service (APS). This summer program lets you explore different jobs within the APS. Leaders from different departments can easily find and choose the right students for short-term jobs.

What’s Available

There are lots of roles for summer students, covering many areas like administration, agriculture, communication, engineering, finance, health, IT, law, management, and more. Whether you’re in a certificate program or studying for a doctorate, there’s something for you.

Where You’ll Work

Most jobs are in Edmonton or Calgary, but there are positions all over Alberta. You have to be in Alberta to work as a summer student.

When You’ll Work

Summer jobs start in May and end in August, lasting 2 to 4 months. You’ll work full-time, typically 36.25 hours a week.
