Description: Beverage Manager

Responsibilities:

– Design and update the drinks menu regularly, offering a diverse selection of innovative cocktails, wines, beers, and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
– Source suppliers and products to ensure the quality and variety of drinks offered meets high standards.
– Oversee the preparation and service of beverages, ensuring adherence to quality and presentation standards.
– Provide training to staff on drink preparation techniques, cocktail recipes, and product knowledge.
– Manage beverage stocks and inventory levels, placing orders with suppliers as necessary to prevent stock-outs.
– Develop promotions and special events to drive sales and enhance customer loyalty.
– Supervise the bar area to ensure efficient service, address customer concerns promptly, and maintain customer satisfaction.
– Collaborate with other departments, such as culinary, to create food and drink pairings and special menus.
– Stay updated on beverage market trends, new brands, and innovations, making adjustments to the menu as needed.
– Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to hygiene and food safety standards.

Qualifications:

– Extensive experience in the food and beverage industry, preferably in upscale or luxury establishments.
– Thorough knowledge of various beverage categories, including wines, spirits, cocktails, and soft drinks.
– Proficiency in drink preparation techniques and familiarity with classic and contemporary cocktail recipes.
– Strong inventory management skills, including ordering, stock management, and cost control.
– Ability to train and supervise staff, deliver exceptional customer service, and manage challenging situations effectively.
– Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, with a professional demeanor and positive attitude.
– Capable of working under pressure, handling multiple tasks simultaneously, and maintaining high standards of quality and service.
– Familiarity with local alcohol and food safety regulations, as well as hygiene and safety standards.
